PRIvacy Policy

CRITA is built to collect as little as possible. In short: the app has no accounts, no backend, and no tracking, and it does not send your data anywhere.

Who we are

CRITA is developed and published by Nineteenth Hole Ventures Pty Ltd ("we", "us", "our"), an Australian company. This policy explains how the CRITA app handles information. For any privacy question, contact Enquiries@crita.com.au.

The short version. CRITA has no user accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party tracking. It contains no code that sends your information to us or anyone else. The only way we receive anything from you is if you choose to email us.

Information the app stores on your device

CRITA saves a small number of settings locally on your device so it works the way you like. This information stays on the device and is never transmitted to us:

  • Display preferences, such as your chosen units and drug-naming style.

  • Your connection-mode setting.

  • A session name for the controlling device, chosen from a fixed list of names built into the app.

Information shared between devices in the room

When you run a multi-device session, CRITA sends simulation information directly between the iPads taking part, over your local network. This includes the simulated (fictional) patient state, simulated equipment events, each device's role, and a short display label for each device. This information passes only between devices in the same session — it does not travel over the internet and never reaches us or any server.

Information we do not collect

  • No personal accounts. CRITA has no login, registration, or user profiles.

  • No tracking or analytics. No advertising identifiers, no tracking prompts, no third-party analytics or crash-reporting services.

  • No sensitive device access. CRITA does not use your camera, microphone, photos, location, contacts, or health data.

  • No real patient data. All clinical content is fictional and built into the app. CRITA neither requests nor stores real patient information.

If you contact us

CRITA includes a feedback option that opens your own email app so you can write to us. If you send that email, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to write, and we use it only to respond to you and provide support. We don't use it for advertising or tracking, and we don't link it to any profile. The app itself doesn't send this — it simply hands off to your email app, and nothing is sent unless you press send.

Information provided by Apple

Regardless of the app's own behaviour, Apple may provide us with aggregated, anonymised App Store analytics and crash reports for CRITA. This information does not identify you personally. It is governed by Apple's privacy policy.

Your rights

Because CRITA does not collect personal information through the app, there is usually nothing for us to access, correct, or delete. If you have emailed us and would like us to remove that correspondence, contact Enquiries@crita.com.au. We handle any personal information in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

Children

CRITA is intended for use by healthcare professionals and is not directed at children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated date at the top of this page.
